Trinny has gone to Doggie Heaven

I cannot even express how much it hurt to have her put down this evening, but she was so sick and she was beginning to show signs that she was in pain. We couldn't keep her with us anymore, it wasn't fair to her.

We held her as the injection took hold and we wept. That was four hours ago. I am still leaking tears.

Goodbye, Trinny. We will miss your goofy personality, your long, fawn-like uncoordinated legs, your jack-in-the-box greetings. You were an exceptionally good dog, sweet natured and pure of heart, and your absence has already left a searingly painful hole in my heart.

  1. What a endearing post to a dog so obviously well loved. I want to thank you as a dog owner myself that you saw to it she did not have to have the end of her life wracked with pain. God Bless You. I am so sorry for your pain. However you need to be thanked (and I am doing so) for not being selfish in your decision, and letting her go to keep her out of pain. Thank you.
I am sorry for your loss. It hurts,I know it hurts a lot.

  2. I can appreciate your deep sorrow and am sending you heartfelt hugs! The decision to a pet go is not easy to handle emotionally even tho you know it's the best thing to do.

  4. Hope your memories of the dog will be the fun ones and your grief is shorten by them.

I had the sad unpleasant task of doing this twice. The second time was no better. Our pets do become a part of our everyday life.

My boyfriend and I want to get a dog, but we're already fear for a moment like this.
Treasure the moment you had with Trinny.
    Wish you all the best.
